Yearly permits can be ordered online at www.ThePermitStore.com. All major credit cards can be used. Please refer to our permit pages for further information.

With the exception of the summer sessions, all student permits are available on a yearly basis only. Permits that are no longer needed can be turned in for a prorated refund. Please click here for information regarding our permit return policy.

Q. I have ordered my permit online. How do I park until I receive the permit in the mail?

Once a permit order has been approved a temporary ten day permit can be printed. Until such time that the order has been approved, short term permits will need to be purchased. To obtain a temporary permit, please visit www.ThePermitStore.com, Enter your e-mail address or user ID and password. On the page that opens click on the link that states “Temporary Permit”. The temporary permit will open in a new window. Print the permit and display in accordance with the instructions stated.

Q. My temporary permit is about to expire and I have not received my permit in the mail. What am I supposed to do?

Most permits arrive within ten days. If the temporary permit has not arrived please visit the Parking Services Office. The status of your order will be checked and an additional short term permit may be issued. Do not attempt to use this permit for parking after it has expired. Parking with an expired temporary permit may result in a parking citation.

Q. I am going to be visiting UCSB.  What parking is available for visitors to campus?

Please see the visitor parking area of our website. A campus map  with some of the common destinations on campus is available for your convenience.

As a convenience to our customers all permit dispensers are set to sell permits. It is the responsibility of the driver of the vehicle to obey the posted signage and park in the appropriate lots and/or spaces for their permit type.
