Who is eligible
UCSB faculty and members of Managers & Senior Professionals (MSP) are eligible to obtain
a faculty A permit. Employees requesting “A” permits will have
their status verified via the Personnel Payroll System (PPS). Employees not appearing
in PPS, or employees without the proper title code, will need to provide
documentation of their eligibility from their department chair or director.
Where to park
An A permit allows you to park in the lots and structures designated for faculty (see
Faculty & Staff Parking
for locations), including spaces within the lots/structures marked
“Faculty At All Times”.
The permit is valid in student lots (see
Visitor & Student Parking
for locations), and for parking in time-restricted parking spaces for the time designated.
The permit is not valid where restrictions apply —
for example, reserved or metered spaces, or lots/spaces
marked for vendors or “RS” permit holders.
The permit is not valid in Coastal Access spaces on weekdays, Monday–Friday 7:30AM–5:00PM.
The permit is not valid in the off-campus parking facilities operated by
Housing & Residential Services.❖
