Guest Services – Guest Permit Sales
This information is for University departments and their staff.

What are my guest permit options?
You have three options for purchasing permits for your department’s visitors and distinguished guests:
Guest parking, permit pickup at Information Kiosk
Reserved space parking, permit included with reservation
Prepaid visitor parking, permit distributed by department

Guest parking
Guest parking allows your guests to park in
Visitor
lots and structures across campus. You use the Guest Permit System to place your order online. Your guests pick up their permits on a weekday between 7:30AM and 4:30PM at the
Information Kiosk
at University Plaza.
Reserved space parking
Reserved space parking provides your special guests with an assured parking space in a predesignated lot. Parking permission is included when you order through the Guest Permit System, so guests are not required to pick up a permit at the Information Kiosk, nor are they required to display a permit on their vehicle.
Prepaid visitor parking
This service is provided to departments that prefer to distribute permits directly to their invited guests and other visitors. The permits are valid in lots/spaces allocated to visitors, students, faculty and staff. Email your order for prepaid visitor parking to the
Permit Sales Office
. Place your order at least 48 HOURS before the event; you will be notified by email when your prepaid permit(s) are ready for pickup at the
Permit Sales Office
front counter. For questions, please call (805) 893-2346.
Prepaid permits are not to be used by UCSB students, faculty or staff. They must be displayed in accordance with the instructions on the permit.
What are my payment options?
Purchase a guest parking permit at
$8.00
for weekdays, or
$3.00
for nights (after 5PM) and weekends.
Purchase a reserved space at
$30.00
. The cost of a reserved space includes parking permit, sign with the name of your guest, A-frame sign support, and A-frame setup and takedown.
Purchase large quantity prepaid permits at a discounted price.
Orders placed through the Guest Permit System are reimbursed via departmental recharge. Prepaid visitor parking is paid by departmental recharge, cash, credit card or check.
Benefits of the Guest Permit System
Our Guest Permit System (GPS) enables you to manage your guest permits and reserved spaces online. First, obtain a Guest Permit System account for your department by clicking the Register button above. Accounts are approved in approximately one business day. Then log in from this page to place, review, edit, and delete orders.
We request a minimum FIVE WORKDAYS advance notice for guest permit and reserved space orders. A
$35
late fee will be added to your bill if your request is received with less than five workdays notice.
