Visitor – UCSB Parking Reciprocity
|
|
Who is qualified
UCSB offers parking reciprocity to UC faculty and
staff who visit the campus on
University business. Reciprocity at UCSB is honored for one to five days per fiscal year.
Your current parking status, whether faculty or staff, will qualify you for a UCSB permit of
equivalent status. (A UCSB “A” permit corresponds to faculty status, while a “B” permit corresponds to staff status.)
You are required to purchase a permit if you, as the employee of another UC campus,
park a vehicle at UCSB more than five days per fiscal year.
Where to park
A faculty or staff reciprocity permit is valid in the lots and structures designated for faculty/staff (see
Faculty & Staff Parking
for locations). Be aware that some spaces within the lots are designated “Faculty Only”.
The permit is valid in student lots (see
Visitor & Student Parking
for locations), and for parking in time-restricted parking spaces for the time designated.
The permit is not valid where restrictions apply —
for example, reserved, metered or Coastal Access spaces, or lots/spaces
marked for vendors or “RS” permit holders.
The permit is not valid in the off-campus parking facilities operated by Housing & Residential Services.❖
How to apply
Applications for UCSB parking reciprocity are accepted exclusively at the
Parking Services
office. Upon applying, you will be asked to present an ID and evidence of your current UC parking status.
