UCSB is closed to public parking from 5:00PM on Friday, October
30th until 7:30AM on Monday, November 2nd. As in past years, Transportation
& Parking Services (TPS) offers accomodation to those who wish to park their
vehicles on campus during these dates and times. For valid parking, you will need
to purchase a 2009 Halloween parking permit.
Night & Weekend permits and off-campus Housing (“H”) permits will not be honored
during Halloween weekend.
Do I qualify for a Halloween permit?
You qualify if you are a student enrolled at UCSB, and a resident
of Isla Vista.
How do I obtain a Halloween permit?
- Click on the permit pictured above to go to The Permit Store.
- On the “Home: Option Selection” page, click on “Apply”.
- If you already have a permit account, log on using your email address and password.
If you don’t have an account, create an account following the posted instructions.
- Once you create or log onto your account, you will be at Step 1: “New Accounts”.
Provide your personal contact information.
- At the bottom of the page you will see “Purchasing As”. Select “Halloween Permit
option”.
Permits ordered by October 16th will be mailed directly to you.
A $15 nonrefundable processing fee applies. Permits ordered after October 16th are
assessed a $25 processing fee at the time of ordering, and must be picked up at
the
Permit Sales Office
between 10:00AM and 4:00PM on October 28th or 29th.
The final date for ordering a Halloween permit is October 23rd.
Purchase of Halloween permits is limited to one per student.
Where can I park my vehicle?
There are four areas where Halloween permits are valid. Primary parking is at
22 Parking
. Overflow parking is at
18 (Mesa) Parking,
and at
16 Parking
and the south end of
30 Parking.
Halloween permits are valid from 3:00PM, Friday October 30th until 7:30AM, Monday,
November 2nd. You may park your vehicle on campus before 5:00PM, but please be aware
that classes are still in session and parking may be limited.
